Our Farm
Shady Lane Stables is a family-run farm where visitors can experience the sights, sounds, and daily life of a working farm. In addition to offering horse-related activities, we are also a fully operational sheep farm and home to a variety of friendly animals. Our goal is to provide a welcoming place where children and families can connect with animals, learn about farming, and enjoy the outdoors.
Life on the farm is always active. Our flock of sheep plays an important role in the daily operation of the farm, while our horses and ponies are a central part of the experiences we share with visitors. Alongside them you will also find chickens, rabbits, and other animals that help make the farm a fun and educational environment for everyone who visits.
Visitors to the farm have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of hands-on experiences. Children especially love spending time with the animals, learning how to groom horses, and seeing how animals are cared for each day. During our kids day camps, campers also participate in crafts, pony or horse rides, and activities that introduce them to farm life in a safe and engaging way. Whether it’s interacting with the animals, learning something new about farming, or simply enjoying time outdoors, there is always something to experience at the farm.
Meeting the animals is one of the highlights for many visitors. Our horses and ponies are gentle and enjoy the attention they receive from children and guests. As a working sheep farm, our flock is an important part of the farm as well, and visitors often enjoy learning about how sheep are raised and cared for. Chickens, rabbits, and other small animals add even more character to the farm and provide great opportunities for children to see and interact with a variety of animals.
